counting my blessings...

i'm back, after a long 'break'...did you miss me? =)

three things that made me smile today -

1st: this morning...yesterday midnight, to be exact, I finished my James Patterson's Swimsuit (a novel), within two days - I wasn't trying to read it quickly, but I just get 'absorbed' into the story and end up not wanting to stop reading...=)

2nd: tuition with this kiddo who comes to my house always make me smile...I like the way we communicate - we 'scold' each other but we don't mean it...it's more like 'playing'...i always call her 'idiot' when she make a careless mistake, while she calls me an 'evil and saddistic' woman because I like to give her tough questions...lol

3rd: had dinner with my parents and bro out at Soup Restaurant...even though sis is not around, but it seems like it has been a really long time since I ate out with my family...it just feels good...=)

1st: went out today and saw a short 'scene' - a caucasian guy flagging for a cab.. then when the cab stopped, he opened the door and leet his girlfriend to get in first... isn't that really sweet? these are the small gestures that might not be seen as important for guys, but that are those things that touches our hearts... at least it applies for me... =)

2nd: i saw a maid and a kid sitting at the bus stop, and the maid was playing with him, gently pushing his head... then they continue to talk, and then the little boy lifted his hand and gently patted his maid's head... such sweet gestures... ain't i lucky to get to see two on the same day, within an hour? =)

3rd: had a great talk with wilson da ge on msn... hope to meet up with him soon! =))

1st: cm keep grumbling non-stop for the entire week, because i originally plan to go out with him tonight but then i ps-ed him for my dinner with my mummy and sis and her bf...so he made noise throughout the whole week,attempting to make me feel guilty in all ways (well he sort of succeed though), and at night he smsed me and asked me, 'so how was your precious dinner with mom and sis today?'...i sense some...erm...'sour-ness' in it?lol...but its quite funny for him to react that big over an outing that was put off...oops...(hope he doesnt see this post...=P )

2nd: i had my favourite buttery-salted-egg-yolked crab for dinner today!!! sinful, but yum yum!!! =D

3rd: a small bottle of mine went rolling into, and under a metal tray in my kitchen...i happened to be not wearing my spects and just nice my bro was beside me getting his cup filled, so i asked him to help me see where the bottle went... then he replied me saying that he's not wearing glasses so he couldn't help, and he paused, looking at me. then he asked, 'you're not wearing spects also?' then i replied and we both laughed at ourselves - two blind person trying to look for something... lol....

1st: i uploaded photos from yesterday's dinner outing...one great accomplishment is always to be able to upload pictures on fb, tagging my friends and myself, writing in the captions... =D

2nd: i love going to youtube to watch my laogong's video songs, especially the new ones...love them!! (but when is the album releasing in sg?!!it's gonna be another long wait, again) i'm glad i never fail to love his songs... seriously, even if he's not wang lee hom, i would love his songs too... you should listen to them too... you'll love them... =)

3rd: my mummy's friend came, with her family and her newborn baby...so adorable!!! she keeps looking at me and smile!!! kawaii ne~~ =))

1st: Thanks to my mummy, I've got my fave Big Breakfast from Mac for breakfast!! =))

2nd: Meet up with my shps ex-colleagues (Sherlyn & Lu Na) for dinner at sakae's teppanyaki, then went to arcade and play like a kid...I just LOVE the basketball game!!!! (hehe) and then, movie!! =))

3rd: Decided that I WANT to buy my lao gong's album...=D Iwant, I want, I want!! But I don't know when it is released in Sg...have to make a trip to Popular soon...=)

1st: Went back to shps to collect my checklists, then shun bian went up to level 4 to my ex staff room to find my ex colleagues cum friends...and we arranged for dinner tomorrow! =)) I also passed a sports day video to Isaac, and he say he owe me a treat...hmm...we shall see yea...

2nd: I've made up my mind that I wanna go Universal Studios next week!! As of who I'm going with, it won't be confirmed yet... But the most important thing is, I AM GOING...HAHA... =D

3rd: I just threw away two tee shirts today...heh...jiu de bu qu, xin de bu lai mah...hor? =P

1st: I realise my 'lao gong' 's movie is coming out on 23rd Aug!!! The movie looks a little lame, but I shall go watch it to support him... =D His album is coming out too! I heard an unfamiliar song with a very familiar voice on myfm, and almost immediately, I know it is Wang Lee Hom's song...hehe....and I was right! *victory sign*

2nd: I felt so proud of myself for typing out the whole speech by the actor, by looking at the episode and also, I typed it out in traditional chinese!! *double proud* =D

3rd: When I came back into my room after bathing, I walked in and heard the fm playing a song I really like - 严爵's 我喜欢, 不我爱...it's a really nice song!how nice, to walk in and get to listen to a song you like...it feels as though the dj played it for you... *grins*

in the drama, this is the part I like the best - the part on the main actor's perspective of love...sounds a bit...similar as mine, isn't it? heh.. (by the way this was his 'speech', with the main actress...i typed it out myself de hor!!heh...)

where have I been? I was sick on sunday and monday, and was watching 偷心大圣PS男 online...and completed the 21 episodes yesterday... *victory sign* the shows pretty nice...because the main actor, after being 'betrayed', did not believe in love, too (same as me)... but in the end he did found his true love... well that is just a drama... taiwanese drama always have a good ending... so, i still don't believe in true love even though i was really happy when they had a good ending... well, sometimes it's just nice to indulge a little into believing that there's such a thing call 'happily ever after'... =)

alrighty, here's my three things that made me smiled today...

1st: I went shopping today and bought a new top, skirt and dress!! =)) went fcuk and tried a very cute top where there's bells tied to the strings dangling...but too bad it didnt look good on me..if not i would have bought it and then ppl will start getting irritated when i walk/move around with that 'ling-ling-ling' sound...haha

2nd: My bro's back from Malaysia, safely... something to be happy about, isn't it? =)

3rd: Well, today i had a very embarassing incident at wisma atria, but i still laughed (with embarassment of course)...but i laughed at my own 'mistake'! not bad right? hehe... =P

1st: When I gave out my muffins and cards and saw all the smiles on my teachers/colleagues' face, and being appreciated, I know that all the time spent on doing the cards and muffins was worthwhile... =)

2nd: Went to my 3/5 and took their pics when they were singing the national day songs... And Mingyan (a very cute girl in the class) saw me and flashed me a very big smile... So I asked her to pose for me, and she gave me a victory sign...kawaii!!! =D

3rd: I went around taking pictures with my teachers, even though one of the male teacher rejected my offer (don't really know why...but probably because he's conservative...and old, perhaps?lol), and I missed taking with my main teacher in charge, but I managed to catch the rest... And that is good enough! Because, I'll be coming back next week to look for this teacher to get my checklists back, and at end Aug I'll be joining my favourite 3/5 for their maths trail!! =D

1st: I bid farewell to my 3/5 kids, and one of them came and asked a hi-5 from me at the end of the lesson before she left the class...=)

2nd: one of the contract teachers gave me a packet of cheerios in staff room today.. =D

3rd: I managed to complete my wk 5's reflection, plus decorating my muffins! Even though I finished around 0230, but at least they are all done...=)

1st: Today is my mummy's birthday!!! Happy birthday, Mummy! I cooked mee sua for her today... And because I didn't add any meat inside, the soup base wasn't as tasty (in fact it wasn't really nice 'cause the mee sua's smell went into the soup), but she didn't say anything about it and finished up the mee sua and egg... =)) (i'll do better the next time...hee)

2nd: I'm so proud of myself for not bringing lappy to school today so that I can study for my btt, and I managed to read finish both books before taking the test... =)

3rd: Guess what? I passed my BTT!! Even though it's really idiot-proof to most people, but I tend to read too much into things so I was quite worried about it... Especially when I did not go for any trial test... But I got 50 out of 50!!! It's double celebration today!! =D

1st: First time wearing a long dress to school... And my practicum buddy said that she loves my dress!! =))

2nd: Bid farewell to my 5/7, which I have taught for 3 periods previously... Some of the girls looked like they were about to cry when I left... Just happy that I managed to keep some memories of them... =)

3rd: Saw Isaac in school early in the morning, so we had a talk... Then I realise that the 'sunshine' effect is gone... But I don't know why... It just feels good, but no longer the 'happy like spider' kind of feeling after talking to him... Hmm... Guess it's more of a good thing than a bad thing? =)

1st: My beloved 3/5 used to call me Ms Lim due to some 'incident', then today when I went into the class, I heard the kids whispering 'Ms Lam...', but before I could think further, they stood up and greeted, 'Good morning, Ms Lam'... I end up grinning uncontrollably and then they all started to giggle when they realise that I noticed the difference... at the end of the lesson when they thank me, I grinned again and they giggled again...LOL (oh man I'm so gonna miss them...)

2nd: I managed to bake all my muffins today! Gonna give it to the teachers on fri... =) Even though the second batch is a little over-baked (looks more dry), but at least they all good OK... =P

3rd: During dinner my mum cooked those 'dry char mee' instant noodles for sis, and she shared with me some... So when she tried to give me some, she had trouble getting to the ends of the noodles... Hence I tried to cut it with my chopsticks... Just at the moment I managed to cut the noodle, somehow the ends of the noodles flew out, and into my bowl... Such coincidence! Then we exchanged looks and laughed... Happy birthday, sis.. =)

1st: First visit to Royal China restaurant at Raffles Hotel! Pretty nice food they have over there... And my first try on the mango flavoured 'liu sha bao'...nice!! =)

2nd: Aunt Lynn was talking about her experiences removing her freckles aka sun kisses, which was with her since young... I was just so glad I do not have such problems to worry about... Although my pimples are already quite a big problem, but at least, no freckles to worry about, yet. *touchwood* I'm just happy that I only have pimple problems..but of course I would be happier if my pimple problems disappear too... Am I asking for too much? hee...

3rd: I completed my reflection on time (even though I was so tempted to ask for extension because of my headache)!! So proud of myself for not extending deadline... =) plus, my nie supervisor emailed me on my previous reflection, saying that it was the best he had received for the week...OH YEA!!! double =))
